Lucy has been telling stories for as long as she can remember. Before starting Girl Friday Media, Lucy studied musical theatre, worked in film and theatre production, wrote and directed cabaret shows and wrangled (other people’s) children. This mixed bag of professional experience, while diverse, developed her enthusiasm for collaboration, creativity and attention to detail.

Lucy graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2014 with a Bachelor of Media and Bachelor of Arts (English Major).

In 2015, Lucy found herself working as a Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator for a small charity, where she began to understand how powerful social media could be as a tool in raising the organisation’s profile and sharing its story with donors and supporters. Inspired to share her newfound skills and expertise in branding and communications with the good people of Adelaide, Lucy took the leap and started Girl Friday Media in January 2017.

Lucy has always been a ‘Girl Friday’. Coming from a diverse professional background, time and again she has had to pick up new skills and run with them. A fast and keen learner, she is self-taught in web design, coding and graphic design.

Just as a Girl Friday is there to support the broad needs of the office, Lucy wants to support the broad branding and communication needs of your business. Lucy understands branding is not just a logo, and recognises the need for consistency of messaging across a range of media and platforms. Using her broad skill set, she will help tell your story online.
